- Reuse the same renderer as the CLI, preserving full key structure, alpha and unmapped defaults.
- Regenerate the BTE download when the selected theme changes.
- Validate the base before exporting, limit inputs to 2 MiB and clear invalid or superseded file selections.
- Preserve the existing 50 palettes, ten families and six exact Granular Freeze source palettes.
Validation: all 34 tests passed locally and on GitHub, including 14 new browser-export regressions. The actual Ember file downloaded through the browser matched the shared renderer byte for byte. Valid input, changing theme, incomplete input, Clear file and phone layout were checked in the browser.
This remains a public preview for unofficial Bitwig Theme Editor workflows. Visual compatibility inside Bitwig is still pending. Palette previews are not DAW screenshots, and no Bitwig defaults, patched JARs or plug-in binaries are included.
50 Bitwig Themes · Initial public preview
50 dark colour themes in 10 families, derived from the current Granular Freeze palette system.
Browse the interactive gallery or start with the installation guide.
This first public preview includes six exact source palettes and 44 original variations, individual JSON files, SVG palette studies, a version-aware full-file BTE exporter, MIT licensing and contribution guidance. The ZIP contains the complete collection and tools; SHA256SUMS verifies the download.
Validation: all 20 regression tests passed locally; 50 exports each from Bitwig 6.1 and 6.1.1 defaults preserved all 273 colour keys, Gradient, alpha values and unmapped settings. The gallery was checked on desktop and at a phone viewport, including filtering, selection, JSON downloads and export-command copying.
Visual compatibility inside Bitwig is not yet verified. These are palette previews, not DAW screenshots. Export using your own installed version's default.bte and apply through the unofficial Bitwig Theme Editor. No Bitwig files, factory defaults, patched JARs or plug-in binaries are included. The exporter does not patch the application or replace a live theme.
Made by Gabriel García Alonso. Feedback with an exact Bitwig version, Theme Editor version, OS and theme name is welcome.
