The scrotwarn applet is intended for users of Openbox and similar window managers who may not understand the consequences of unwanted screenshots. On most window managers (and desktop environments), the default behavior of the scrot command does not create a signal to users that a screenshot is being taken. This applet is intended to reduce the risk of triggering unwanted screenshots on various Linux environments.
