@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Sep 17:33

Changed

  • skill 1.2.4: nested clipContent (Auto spills parts, crops scenes), scoped adjustments and their cost, halftone is heavy
  • render: a scoped adjustment works where its layers are, not across the comp
  • skill 1.2.2: batch item ok, one keyframes_set per property, restack order, re-timing cuts with nested speed/trim, hand-drawn paths recipe; motion-designer: building at scale
  • effects: the preview keeps comp-space pictures, so pan and zoom never throw the loop away

Fixed

  • nav: a privately owned comp opens through its owner, never as a hidden root
  • render: nested comps clip by one rule + a visible switch; text keeps its group's fade
  • api: a transparent comp made by frame.create never crops when nested (overflow 1), overflow is settable; skill 1.2.3 teaches the nested-window decision
  • api: resolve a single layer id by name too — timeline.trim crashed on a layer name
  • api: resolve layer names in every command's ids — layers.group/nest/restack by name failed with 'must be visual layers'
  • mcp: sessions share the link — standby bridges retry the port and take it over from an idle holder

Installing

macOS

AtomCut is not yet notarized, so on first launch Gatekeeper will say the app
"is damaged and can't be opened" or "cannot be opened because the developer
cannot be verified." This is expected for unsigned builds. After dragging
AtomCut into Applications, clear the quarantine flag once:

xattr -cr /Applications/AtomCut.app

Then open it normally. (Alternatively: right-click the app → Open → Open.)

Windows

SmartScreen may warn on first run. Choose More info → Run anyway.

Linux

  • AppImage: chmod +x AtomCut-*.AppImage && ./AtomCut-*.AppImage
  • Debian/Ubuntu: sudo dpkg -i AtomCut-*.deb

Once installed, AtomCut keeps itself up to date automatically — new versions are
offered in-app and install on relaunch.
