@npanj npanj released this 03 Oct 04:21

Slipstream 26.10.4, built from 11b6034f752de909e7deb82a4205d06e9ed70050 (build run 37096222507).

Install

macOS (Apple Silicon)

curl -fsSL https://github.com/npanj/slipstream/raw/main/install.sh | SLIPSTREAM_TAG=v26.10.4 sh

Installs into ~/.local/share/slipstream/<version> and links slipstream into
~/.local/bin. The installer checks for an Apple Silicon Mac, picks the package for
your macOS version and verifies its checksum before unpacking. Only the two newest
versions are kept: installing a new one removes anything older than the pair.

Then serve a model, by its Hugging Face id or a local folder:

slipstream serve --model nitinpanj/Swift-Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-Q4_0-Q8out-v3-GGUF

A Hugging Face id is downloaded on the first start (slipstream pull <owner/repo>
downloads without serving), with the MTP draft head a GGUF repository lacks.
Models go to ~/.slipstream/models (SLIPSTREAM_MODELS moves them); a GGUF model is
prepared there on its first start, which needs about as much disk again.

Requires macOS 26.4 or later on Apple Silicon; a 64 GB Mac for the Qwen3.8-Flash-Next
models. Other data and caches go to ~/Library/Application Support/Slipstream-v2.

Manual download

Download slipstream-26.10.4-macos26-arm-64bit.zip and SHA256SUMS, then check one against the other:

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Unzip it anywhere and run bin/slipstream. A browser marks the download as
quarantined, and macOS then refuses the unsigned engine; clear the mark first:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine slipstream-26.10.4-macos26-arm-64bit
