Sponsorship Guidelines
null NEU is an open security and privacy-focused organization operating within the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. We are dedicated to promoting awareness, education, innovation & research in the realms of cybersecurity and privacy protection. Our club is entirely volunteer-run, and our operations rely on the support of sponsors and donors who share our passion for advancing these critical fields.
The purpose of this document is to outline our sponsorship policy and to invite potential sponsors who believe in our mission to support our activities financially or otherwise.
null NEU operates solely on sponsorships, donations, and some internal funds reserved by the Khoury College for student clubs & organizations. These funds are used to cover various expenses such as:
- Bills for food & snacks at events
- Club merchandise & swag
- Equipment purchases
- Promotional materials
- Funds to enable and promote research projects
- Other essential costs associated with organizing events and activities
We welcome sponsorships and donations from parties who align with the values and objectives of our club. We seek sponsors who share our commitment to enhancing cybersecurity and promoting privacy protection. Sponsors should believe in the importance of education, awareness, and innovation in these areas.
In return for their support, sponsors will receive positive exposure and recognition within our club events and communications. This may include:
- Acknowledgment in event materials
- Social media mentions
- Logo placement on promotional materials
- Other forms of visibility based on the level of sponsorship
Additionally, sponsors will have the unique opportunity to tap into a diverse and talented community of cybersecurity enthusiasts among our club members. By partnering with null NEU, sponsors can engage directly with motivated and skilled individuals who are passionate about addressing cybersecurity and privacy challenges. Sponsors can collaborate with club members to tackle specific problems or projects, leveraging their research-backed innovative solutions and fresh perspectives to drive meaningful outcomes for their organizations. While we value the support of our sponsors, null NEU remains committed to upholding our core ideals, beliefs, and goals. In the event of a conflict of interest between the requests or expectations of a sponsor and our club's mission, the club's core committee reserves the right to prioritize the interests of the club and its members.
Financial Contributions: Direct financial support through sponsorships or donations.
In-Kind Support: Provision of goods or services that can help enhance our events and activities, such as:
- Technological equipment or software
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Venue or space for hosting events
Expertise Sharing: Sponsors can contribute their knowledge and expertise by:
- Participating in panel discussions or workshops
- Providing educational resources or training materials
- Mentoring club members on specific projects or areas of interest
