Lua 5.3/5.4 support

Currently Lua-CSharp provides a Lua 5.2 implementation. Should this be changed to Lua 5.3/5.4?

Lua 5.2 is too old! Lua 5.3/5.4 should be more popular for dev with it.

Why not support all versions? I think that would be pretty good. Or at least support the latest version that is 5.4 for now.

Since Lua-CSharp is a runtime implementation written entirely from scratch in C#, adding support for additional versions would likely be quite difficult.

I am currently working on a new Lua library called NuLua. It is a binding-based implementation; while its platform support is more limited compared to Lua-CSharp, it might still be of help to you.

So this one is abandoned? This one here fully supports AOT which is the main reason why I'm interested into it comparing to all the well established other LUA bindings like NeoLua etc.

We recognize the importance of Lua-CSharp, and its development will continue. Full support for AOT environments, such as NativeAOT and IL2CPP, is one of Lua-CSharp's objectives.
