This release focuses on hardening the application architecture, improving responsiveness, and refining core workflows. While there are no major headline features, this version significantly improves stability, security, and overall UX.

Reader/Viewer Improvements

  • Added dedicated Reader window (no longer modal-based)

  • Replaced native Electron alerts with custom dialogs
  • Expanded CI coverage with additional security and integration tests

Performance & Startup

  • Reworked startup loading to progressively load manga instead of bulk loading
  • Improved thumbnail handling and memory stability
  • Refactored reader load/eviction logic for fewer edge cases and lower RAM usage

Export Improvements

  • Improved export name sanitization:
    • Normalizes titles
    • Removes unsafe filesystem characters
    • Limits folder names to 80 characters to avoid Windows path-length issues

Metadata & Tag System

  • Refined tag system and autocomplete UX
  • Improved metadata editing:
    • Added publishing date
    • Added gallery ID
    • Reordered metadata fields for clarity
  • Improved tag filtering consistency

Sorting Options Updated

Sorting options now include:

  • Favorites
  • Added (Newest / Oldest)
  • Title (A → Z / Z → A)
  • Artist (A → Z / Z → A)
  • Pages (High → Low / Low → High)
  • Published Date (Newest / Oldest)

UI Refinements

  • Added shake animation for incorrect password
  • Disabled drag/selection highlighting on gallery cover images
  • Multiple CSS refinements for consistency across windows
