Release list
v1.0.7
Bento Slides v1.0.7 — the whole app in one ~571 KB HTML file (viewer + editor + data + collab).
Changes
- Editable morph id. An optional
morphIdlets you pair two independently-created elements to morph across slides without touching their stableid(selection, connectors, comments and live-collab identity stay put). New Morph section in the element panel: a "Morph id" field and a "Pair with" picker; same-slide collisions are rejected inline. Default id-based morph is unchanged — old decks behave identically. - 8K fullscreen fill. Presentations now fill high-resolution displays. Reveal's default 2× scale cap letterboxed decks in the middle of 4K/5K/8K screens; that cap is lifted (content is vector/text and upscales crisply).
- In-place update keeps its handle. Updating a double-clicked deck no longer re-prompts every time — the save-picker handle is retained, so after a one-time overwrite of your open file, updates rewrite it in place silently.
Download the attached Bento_Slides.bento.html and open it in any browser — it is the app. Or try it live at https://bento.page/slides
Bento/Slides v1.0.6
Bento/Slides — the office suite that fits in a file.
Download Bento_Slides.bento.html below (~560 KB) and open it in any modern browser: the file is the editor, viewer and presenter. No account, no installer. Save, and it rewrites itself with your deck inside. Or try it instantly at https://bento.page/slides.
This is the current shipping build. Highlights since the 1.0.3 feature release:
- Mobile polish — topbar dropdown menus keep their labels on narrow screens (1.0.6); native dropdowns render correctly on dark‑mode and iOS phones (1.0.5, 1.0.4).
- 1.0.3 headline features — fine‑grained live collaboration with per‑person keys, a People panel showing roles + key fingerprints, and owner‑controlled removal (cryptographically enforced by the blind relay); an owner‑moderated public Guestbook; rebuilt Save / Share menus; lines, curves, connectors, freeform and polygon drawing; and full translations across 8 UI languages.
Existing files update themselves through the in‑app signed update channel — this download is only needed for a fresh copy.
