v11.0.0 - Audit hardening and cross-host compatibility
Claude Octopus v11.0.0
This release includes the merged audit hardening, provider updates, and Claude Code/Codex compatibility work through commit 9c3e79308666e49bdb96d3b9297e13a1013fdd5d.
Upgrade requirements
- MCP and OpenClaw workflow calls now require an absolute
project_root. MCP status requires it too. The plugin installation directory and editor context no longer select the repository to operate on. - Automatic model admission and fallback restrictions fail closed for explicit-only frontier models.
- Council votes require a final, unconditional verdict. Quoted examples and incomplete responses do not count toward quorum.
Read the v11 migration guide before updating integrations.
Included
- Provider credential isolation, effective Codex authentication parsing, and safer command argument transport.
- Process-tree timeout supervision, dispatch-lock recovery, context limits, and per-call usage reconciliation.
- Artifact-bound council evidence and safer review snapshots.
- Claude Code and Codex plugin invocation and safety-hook compatibility.
- Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra catalog support with guarded, explicit selection and existing bounded escalation.
- Provider readiness improvements, extracted-package validation, and test infrastructure updates.
Automatic task-aware Premium routing from the separate development branch and plan-aware routing optimization are not included in this release.
Verification
The exact release commit passed the main-branch Test Suite, including Ubuntu and macOS unit tests, smoke tests, integration, portability, package artifacts, and symlink-path coverage. Publication checks also passed generated-file synchronization, all 9 packaging tests, and the Claude plugin and marketplace validators. Paid model execution and a fresh marketplace installation were not run during publication.
