Daily Notes manual backfill now refreshes the currently enabled Sync sources before writing the selected date range. Watchlist, favorites, ratings, and detailed watched events now follow the same source toggles as Daily Notes-only sync instead of relying on a stale in-memory snapshot.
Detailed watch-history-only items, such as season 0 specials that appear in Trakt history but not in watched shows, can now create/update media notes and appear in Daily Notes.
Older local history caches with orphaned detailed-history entries are now repaired automatically with one full history refresh when needed.
Documentation
Added a sync architecture and control matrix that documents what each source toggle, sync button, timer, Daily Notes-only sync, and manual backfill writes or deliberately skips.
Clarified that Daily Notes-only sync and manual backfill refresh Trakt/TMDB data but do not create, rename, delete, or rewrite media notes.
Recent highlights
Daily Notes can auto-sync independently from full media-note sync, using the same source data without rewriting media notes.
Large TMDB and detailed-watch-history caches live in local runtime storage, keeping synced data.json small.
Automatic filename rename keeps localized media notes aligned when metadata language changes.
Metadata fallback lets you use a strict primary language with a secondary fallback.
Daily Notes integration can write watched / watchlist / favorite / rating events into daily notes.
