Pulsar 0.3.0
This release adds a system details window with a full view of your hardware and every live reading, and extends the optional sensor service with per-core and power readings.
What's New
System Details Window
Ctrl+click any item on the overlay to open a detailed view of your whole machine, starting on that item's page. It is also available from the tray and overlay menus under System details….
- Overview: a summary of the machine, live graphs for every item, and temperatures, power and uptime
- Processor: per-core load, clock and temperature shown as a matrix, strips or rings, plus microarchitecture,
caches and instruction sets - Memory: usage shown as rings or a DIMM gauge, plus details for each installed module
- Graphics: utilization, temperature, engines, graphics memory and every adapter
- Storage: activity, transfer rate, and each drive's temperature, limits and free space
- Network: traffic history and every adapter's link speed and addresses
- System: motherboard, BIOS and Windows
- Sensors: every reading in a collapsible tree, with its current value, low and high
The hover graphs also appear here with their full history. Pulsar remembers your view choices and which sensor branches you collapsed.
See the README for screenshots of each page.
More Sensor Readings (Optional)
With the sensor service installed, the details window also shows:
- Per-core temperature and voltage for Intel CPUs
- Per-core clock speed for Intel and AMD Ryzen
- Per-core power for AMD Ryzen
- Separate power draw for cores, integrated graphics and memory on Intel (cores only on AMD Ryzen)
If you installed the service with 0.2.0, update it to get these readings. The installer's wizard does this for you. After winget upgrade or cargo install, run pulsar-sensors.exe --install again from an administrator terminal.
Other Changes
- Clarified sensor service setup for winget, portable and Cargo installations, including how to update and remove the service.
- Added
pulsar-details.exeto the installer, portable zip and Cargo install. - Moved display settings into
pulsar-monitor-core, where the details window can share them.
