Fork of YTM Desktop with ad blocking, based on upstream v2.0.11.

Built-in ad blocker (Settings > Adblock, on by default) using EasyList and uBlock Origin filter lists via @ghostery/adblocker. Selectable filter lists, disk-cached engine that refreshes every three days and falls back to cache when offline, cosmetic filtering, and scriptlet injection.

Scriptlet injection is what stops the ads YouTube Music plays between songs - those are served from the same domain as the music, so network filtering alone never catches them.

Chrome extension support. Unpacked extensions can be loaded into the YouTube Music view. Manifest V2 blockers such as uBlock Origin work; Manifest V3 blockers relying on declarativeNetRequest do not, because Electron does not implement that API.

Notes

  • Installs separately from upstream YTM Desktop, with its own settings and data. You will need to sign in again.
  • The installer is not code signed, so SmartScreen will warn on first run.
