Busyflag 0.5.0 (pre-release, unsigned)

Turns a Luxafor Flag red while any app uses your mic or camera, amber while the screen is locked, and green when you're free. No network, no telemetry, and no microphone or camera permission is ever requested.

  • macOS (universal dmg/pkg), Windows (msi/exe), Linux x86_64/arm64 (deb/rpm/AppImage)
  • Force busy, pause, camera-as-busy, hold time, custom colours, shape-coded tray glyphs
  • Local CSV log of what used the mic or camera; start at login; survives unplugging
  • Silent installers and an admin defaults file for fleets

Tested on macOS 26.5 and Windows 11. Linux builds have not yet been run on real hardware.

Builds are unsigned. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open. On Windows, choose More info, then Run anyway.

Code signing policy: free code signing provided by SignPath.io, certificate by SignPath Foundation — application pending, so these builds are unsigned. Team roles and the privacy statement are in the code signing policy.
