As for me, I'm not a full keyboard user all the time. Being able to interact rmcl with mouse would be a nice addition!
Shift from long single list to pages list
Mods, resource packs and shaders that were buried deep down under debris aren't easy to find when using a single list like this
Would be better if you switch to multiple pages list, user could've just type the number they want and they can jump really fast between pages
PLus, with this user can scan the mod list faster than scroll and look for it one by one.
My keybind for switching pages is [ & ]
More section in Discovery tab (Modpacks, Datapacks & Plugins)
I don't need to explain this one much, aren't I? :D!
Filter for category
What type of mod (Adventure, Building, etc.)
Client side or Server side
You can look at Prism launcher or Modrinth for inspo.
Global game settings
This will sync all across Instances by default, (can be exclude or include)
This would make the experience when play or try a new Instance much easier, I don't need to set Music to 0%, sprint option from hold to toggle or FOV to 90% all the time.
Ctrl Backspace & &Ctrl W for fast delete when search
Just make the searching experience more convinnient
Mod dependency warning
When install a mod it show a prompt warn that:
Mod A need Mod B (Mod C, Mod D) in order to run.
Proceed? (y/n)
Default modpack/instance presets
I have my very own Fabric modpack for optimization but thinking about update all the mod one by one just made me feel too lazy... The work is a bit too tedious
Rmcl will scan for update in mods, resourcepacks and shaders. Then a prompt will show which mod is incompatible/no update recieved.
Mod A (Mod B, C) isn't compatible with MC version 26.2
Remove 2. Keep 0. Do nothing
This prompt will go one by one from mod to resourcepacks and shaders
I want this experience to feel like when you type sudo pacman -Syu XD !
Scroll by blocks (faster scroll instead of 1 line at a time)
In some mod description, it really LONGGGGG. So be able to scroll 5 or 3 lines at a time is much faster.
Rename Desktop option in the Settings box to Shortcut
Just my personal opinion :D I felt like the word Shortcut would do a better job at explaining the function.
Skin support for Offline Account (as Local file)
Redirect rmcl to use the local file png for skin. Most offline just play single player world so it won't affect much I guess?
Add curse forge in Discovery tab
Yes. (idk if this could work)
There're mods that only exist on Curse Forge which forced me to download it manually...
Add github in Discovery tab (just a small feature since some experiment mod only exist on github)
This one isn't that necessary, I just love be able to download by links not manually (for short, I'm lazy)
Check mod/resourcepack/ ... as list
Installing one by one is nice, but not fast when you already have a list of stuffs u wanted to install in mind
For this u can check/uncheck a list of mod you want for your instance, and rmcl will install the lastest version of it for you after you confirmed to install the list.
alternatives or workarounds
manually install stuffs when it's not exist yet (modpack on modrinth)
