Release list
1.1.0
What's new
- Add an All maps / focused map picker to quickly isolate one map.
- Add persistent controls to show or hide completed maps and show only incomplete tickets.
- Add a responsive Hybrid view with dependency tree and actionability list side by side on wide panes and stacked on narrow panes.
- Remember map focus, display filters, view mode, and zoom per device.
- Keep global tallies stable across map focus and display filters.
Quality
- Add pure projection and actionability-grouping tests.
- Preserve fail-closed handling for unverifiable blockers.
- Support Obsidian 1.7.2 and later, including the imperative settings fallback on versions before 1.13.
All unit, build, live smoke, and directory-lint gates passed for this release.
1.0.2
Restores the settings tab on Obsidian versions older than 1.13: the declarative settings tab (getSettingDefinitions) from 1.0.1 now has the documented display() fallback for pre-1.13 apps, and minAppVersion drops to 1.7.2 (the real floor, set by async revealLeaf). All submission-review fixes from 1.0.1 are included.
1.0.1
Community-plugin submission review fixes: declarative settings tab (getSettingDefinitions, Obsidian 1.13), awaited revealLeaf, createFragment, window-scoped requestAnimationFrame, setCssStyles for dynamic styles, typed ToolbarControls callbacks. minAppVersion is now 1.13.0.
1.0.0
Wayfinder for Obsidian 1.0.0 — the first stable release.
Renders wayfinder maps from GitHub issues as dependency-layered ticket trees inside Obsidian: frontier highlighting, delegation tallies, live claim checks, and one-click /wayfinder command copying. Desktop and mobile. Plugin 1.0.0 is aligned to the v1.1.0 skills release.
Highlights of the road from 0.1 to 1.0
- 0.1–0.2 — the view: dependency-layered trees per
wayfinder:map, ticket detail modal with live comments, list mode (mobile default), zoom (toolbar / ctrl+wheel / pinch), collapsible maps, focus-sync, change flashes, and the "Copy /wayfinder for the next takeable ticket" command. - 0.3 — correctness: fail-closed frontier (unverified blockers never glow), a universal pre-action claim guard, next-takeable fixes.
- 0.4 — robustness: error taxonomy for GitHub failures, pagination, sync coalescing, repo-scoped snapshot caching.
- 0.5 — polish: light theme, compact mobile toolbar, accessibility, scroll preservation across re-renders.
- 0.6 — workflow: delegation queue with batch handoffs (selection mode), bottleneck (
unblocks N) and claimed-idle staleness indicators, need-you / agent-ready / either tallies. - 0.7 — code health: deterministic offline tests, modular view.
- 0.8 — pre-1.0 hardening (13 fixes): blockers carry state + repo identity and fail closed when invisible; failed dependency fetches mark data unverified and warn; the claim guard fails closed with an explicit "Copy anyway" override; batch copies preflight every ticket; conflicting labels resolve conservatively to HITL; "Part of #N" only matches a real metadata line; secondary rate limits are reported as rate limits; test connection actually probes Issues access; ARIA-valid cards; clean unload.
- 0.9 — multi-repo: configure any number of repos, each with its own fine-grained token; parallel sync with per-repo errors; a repo filter in the toolbar; automatic migration of single-repo settings.
- 1.0.0: final review pass over the 0.8–0.9 work (guard edge cases, filter-state purity, UI ordering).
Install
Copy main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/wayfinder/, enable Wayfinder in Settings → Community plugins, then add a repo + fine-grained PAT (read-only Issues) in Settings → Wayfinder.
Verified against the live pipeline: 35/35 unit tests, 9/9 smoke checks.
