- ACP (Agent Client Protocol) server — Native ACP support over JSON-RPC 2.0 / TCP, making AURA one of the first terminal editors with ACP integration.
- Protocol methods:
initialize, document/read, document/edit, cursor/context, diagnostics/get, selection/get, file/read, file/list, file/open, editor/info, terminal/run, project/structure
- Capabilities: document sync, diagnostics, editing, selection, file operations, terminal commands, project structure
- Starts automatically on a random port alongside the MCP server
- Content-Length framed JSON-RPC (same as LSP/DAP)
- Any ACP-compatible agent (Claude Code, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Codex) can connect and drive the editor
