Extra Cover 0.2.2
Open beta. A small polish and safety release for Extra Cover, the one-click mod manager for Cricket 26 (Steam, Windows 10/11).
What's new in 0.2.2
- New community packs show up straight away. A newly published pack could be missing from the Community tab's default view for 20 minutes or more. It now appears in every sort as soon as it's live, and the tab lists every pack (up to a few hundred) instead of stopping at the first 30.
- Tidier community cards. Pack names, creators, versions and view counts now line up the same way on every card. A long name stops after two lines instead of pushing the card's details out of line, and hovering shows the full name.
- Safer community downloads. Extra Cover now installs a pack only after GameBanana has finished its virus scan and the file has passed. If a file is still being scanned, you'll be asked to try again in a few minutes. If it didn't pass, it won't be installed.
- "View on GameBanana" is centered under the Download button in a pack's details.
Your packs, settings and backups are untouched by the update.
New to Extra Cover?
- Download
extra-cover-Setup-0.2.2.exebelow and run it. - The installer is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen warns the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Extra Cover finds Cricket 26 through Steam. Install packs from the Community tab (GameBanana) or open any
.c26packfile.
Every file is backed up before it's changed, and Disable puts the game back the way it was. Close Cricket 26 before applying or removing packs. Making your own packs? Use Pack Studio.

Extra Cover 0.2.1 (open beta)
Open beta. A small fix-up release for Extra Cover, the one-click mod manager for Cricket 26 (Steam, Windows 10/11).
What's new in 0.2.1
- Update notice fixed. The bar that says a new version is ready no longer stretches its button across the screen and squeezes the message into one word per line.
- Readable release notes. This "What's new" window now shows clean text instead of raw web formatting such as

and.
Your packs, settings and backups are untouched by the update.

Extra Cover 0.2.0 (open beta)
Open beta. Extra Cover is a one-click mod manager for Cricket 26 (Steam, Windows 10/11): install texture and audio packs, switch them on and off, and put the game back the way it was, with no technical knowledge needed.
This is an early public build. It has been tested on real installs, but expect rough edges, and please report anything that goes wrong.
Install
- Download
extra-cover-Setup-0.2.0.exebelow and run it. - The installer is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen warns the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Extra Cover finds Cricket 26 through Steam. If it can't, point it at the game folder yourself.
Later versions install themselves: the app checks for updates when it starts.
Getting mods
- Community tab: browse and install packs published on GameBanana.
- Import: open any
.c26packfile, or double-click one in Explorer. - Several packs can be on at once, as long as they don't change the same files.
Keeping your game safe
- Extra Cover backs up every file before changing it. Disable removes one pack, and the others stay on.
- Close Cricket 26 before applying or removing packs.
- After a game update, open Extra Cover: it re-checks what's applied. If something still looks wrong, Settings → Troubleshooting can ask Steam to verify the game files, which removes every mod.
Known limitations
- Windows and the Steam version only.
- Few community packs exist yet. Making your own? Use Pack Studio.
- Anonymous usage counts are off unless you say yes. The app asks once, and you can change your answer in Settings.

Pack Studio 0.1.1-beta.2 (beta)
Pack Studio 0.1.1-beta.2. Open beta. The creator tool for making Extra Cover packs for Cricket 26 (Steam, Windows 10/11).
Browse the textures and sounds in your own copy of the game, repaint them in any image editor (or drop in any audio file), and build a .c26pack that players install with one click. No file formats to learn: Pack Studio handles the conversion.
Get started
- Download
packstudio-win-x64.zipand extract the whole ZIP (don't run it from inside the archive). - Run
packstudio.exe. It's unsigned, so SmartScreen warns the first time: choose More info, then Run anyway. - It opens in your browser and reads your game. The first read takes a minute or two; after that it starts in seconds.
- Collect the textures you want, Create your edits, then Ship: build the pack, test it in game with Extra Cover, and publish it.
Publishing
Upload to GameBanana under the Extra Cover Mods category. Packs filed anywhere else don't appear in the app. Pack Studio's Ship page walks you through GameBanana's form, prepares the .zip and screenshots, and checks your listing once it's live.
Good to know
- Your work is saved in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Extra Cover\Pack Studio\workspace, not next to the exe. - Pack Studio checks this release for updates. Your version is shown under Settings → About.
- No game files are included or uploaded: everything is read from your own install.
- Converted sounds (from MP3/WAV etc.) are newer than textures. Please test them in game and report any that don't play.
