After connecting the 64GB+ microSD card to your computer, do the following:
Download the latest OS image (file ending in .img) from Releases.
Download, install, and run the Raspberry Pi Imager (download). Select Raspberry Pi 5 as the device.
On the "Choose operating system" menu, scroll to the bottom and select "Use custom". Select the .img file you downloaded. Do not select any custom options (username, Wi-Fi, etc.), as they will not be written regardless.
Select the microSD card and hit "next", then "write" on the next menu, then confirm.
