After connecting the 64GB+ microSD card to your computer, do the following:

  1. Download the latest OS image (file ending in .img) from Releases.

  2. Download, install, and run the Raspberry Pi Imager (download). Select Raspberry Pi 5 as the device.

  1. On the "Choose operating system" menu, scroll to the bottom and select "Use custom". Select the .img file you downloaded. Do not select any custom options (username, Wi-Fi, etc.), as they will not be written regardless.

  2. Select the microSD card and hit "next", then "write" on the next menu, then confirm.
