5 Known Issues
What you are seeing:
When your dBFS is too high and you are crossing over the 0dBFS threshold it then goes into overload.
Good but getting close to Overload:
Overload:
The SDR can handle being overloaded to a certain degree, but if the overload is too far over 0dBFS there is a known issue that it begins to reset, when it resets we then default to the green screen you see above.
To fix this, set LNA = 9, Reference Gain Reduction = 59, and Surveillance Gain Reduction = 59. It may take a couple tries as the SDR resetting constantly can cause communications problems with the Raspberry Pi. Once the settings are set to their maximum feel free to auto calibrate and readjust to better gain settings.
There is a known issue that a node may still be online and monitoring the skies but the wifi connection is lost. Having multiple nodes on one network can make it more likely a node loses connectivity.
To get the connection back up plug an ethernet cable in to the Pi and connect that to your router, then refresh the owl.local or owl-2.local in your browser which resets the connection settings. You will then be good to unplug the ethernet cable. We are working on this one, sorry for any inconvenience!
