🚀 v1.0.0 — The Foundation: Structured Data Suite

The first stable release of fmtly is officially here! We've completed the core engine, delivering a robust suite of 45+ high-performance, browser-only tools for developers who prioritize speed and privacy.

✨ Highlights

  • 40+ Production-Ready Tools: Full-featured suites for JSON, XML, YAML, CSV, and TOML.
  • 100% Client-Side: Your data never leaves your browser. No servers, no logs, no tracking.
  • High Performance: Lighthouse score ≥ 95. Lazy-loaded engines keep the initial bundle < 50KB.
  • Developer First: Built with Monaco Editor for a rich coding experience, real-time error highlighting, and instant feedback.

🛠 What's inside this release?

  • Advanced Formatting: Pretty-print, minify, and recursively sort structured data.
  • Lossless Conversion: Seamlessly move between JSON, YAML, XML, CSV, and TOML.
  • Semantic Diff: Structural side-by-side comparison for JSON and YAML documents.
  • Architecture: A scalable SvelteKit 2 + Tailwind CSS 4 + TypeScript foundation.

🗺️ What's Next? (The Roadmap)

Our focus is now on systematically clearing the backlog across these key categories:

  1. Encoders & Decoders: Implementation of Base64, JWT, URL, and Hex tools.
  2. Text & String Tools: Regex testers, case converters, and advanced text analysis.
  3. Security & Crypto: Client-side hashing (SHA/MD5) and secure random generators.
  4. Code Utilities: CSS/SQL formatters and cURL transformation tools.

Note: Once these core utilities are shipped, we will begin the second phase of the project: AI & LLM-specific data tools.
