@oh-ashen-one oh-ashen-one released this 01 Oct 21:27

An experimental native Apple silicon build of MW2 Rust survival against Minecraft mobs, with the full standard killstreak ladder and a more forgiving balance pass.

Download and play

Download Rust-Minecraft-Invasion-0.8.0-macOS-arm64.zip, extract it, move the app to Applications, and open it. Choose your owned English Windows MW2 (2009) installation folder, click Prepare Files, then Open Game Menu. Select Create Game → Rust Invasion → Rust → Intervention Quickscope → Equip.

The app prepares Minecraft resources directly from Mojang. No Call of Duty or Minecraft game archives, textures or sounds are bundled. The Mac build requires macOS 14+ and Apple silicon; Windows/Linux source paths remain in the repository but are not runtime-verified for this release. The app is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized; see the README for normal macOS first-open instructions.

Survival update

  • 300 player health, 25% less mob health, and a 0.25-second grace interval between incoming mob hits.
  • All fifteen standard MW2 rewards are enabled together: UAV; Care Package and Counter-UAV; Sentry Gun and Predator Missile; Precision Airstrike; Harrier Strike and Attack Helicopter; Emergency Airdrop; Pave Low and Stealth Bomber; Chopper Gunner and AC-130; EMP; Tactical Nuke.
  • Rewards unlock at the normal 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 11 / 15 / 25 kill thresholds, including both rewards at shared thresholds. No killstreak loadout selection.
  • D-pad Right / keyboard 4 deploys the next queued reward. Death resets the consecutive count but preserves earned rewards. Support kills do not create automatic reward loops.
  • Predator, Chopper Gunner and AC-130 have controllable remote views. R2 / left click fires or boosts the Predator; L2 / right click cycles AC-130 cannons; D-pad Right / 4 exits.
  • The nuke counts down for ten seconds, clears the arena and restarts the reward ladder. Mob respawns continue.

The 134-mob target population, varied sizes, individual respawns, creature abilities, native Mac controller input and Intervention / Sleight of Hand Pro class are retained. Killstreaks are custom arena adaptations with support geometry/effects for fighting Minecraft mobs, not complete reproductions of every stock animation or cinematic.

Verification

Eighteen focused checks passed, including input decoding and headless HUD startup. All fifteen rewards passed CPU-only probes against the real Rust collision map, including remote camera clearance. Fresh resource preparation, optimized native compilation, signature checks and actual executable-loader checks passed. The release ZIP was checked for game archives, private paths and configuration files.

Live visuals, controller feel, combat balance and rendered FPS remain for player feedback. This release has not been automatically played or presented as a completed gameplay acceptance test. See VALIDATION.md for the inherited repository-check findings and other limits.

The complete source, upstream credits, Apache-2.0 license and dependency/font notices are included in the repository and packaged app as appropriate. Verify the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
