Work Assistant 0.27.1
October 6, 2026
Screen assistant
- Matches projects, not only open tasks. When you work on a project that has no open task for it, the assistant
now recognises the project (from its name, description and its recent tasks, finished ones included) and offers to
start its only open task, or to create a new task in that project with a suggested title and start timing it. - Sees window titles on Mac again. File names, browser tab titles and client names in window titles are its
strongest clue; they're now read from macOS's own window list, front window first. - Project names are found on screen whatever the spacing or capitals ("OneStepFitness_promo.mp4"); short names like
"KGW" only match as a whole word.

Direct messages
- Message anyone with a Work Assistant account by their email, whatever team either of you is in, or none.
Chat → the envelope button → type their email → Start. You need to be signed in with a verified email. Chat now
works without a team, too. - Message requests. The first messages from someone new arrive as a request: Accept, Block or Delete.
Up to three wait, and nothing more arrives until you accept. Replying accepts it. Blocked people aren't told. - You choose who can find you. Settings → Profile → Account → Let people message me by my email (on by default).
- End-to-end encrypted, like team chat: each message, voice note and photo is sealed on your computer for every
computer the other person uses, and for your own other computers. Text, replies, reactions, voice notes, photos,
search and read ticks all work.

Work Assistant Cloud
- Back up to Work Assistant Cloud (Pro and Team, 10 GB). Settings → Data & backup → Cloud backup → Save to →
Work Assistant Cloud. The backup is encrypted on your Mac with your password first, then uploaded, so nobody else
can open it. Older backups from the same Mac are removed by the "Keep the newest" setting. - Restore on any computer you sign in on: cloud backups show in the restore list next to your folder backups, and
download first (a cut connection picks up where it stopped). You can delete them from the list. - If your plan ends, your cloud backups stay downloadable for 60 days, then they're deleted.
Team seats
- Seats across the internet. A Free or Pro team works together across the internet with up to 3 people; a Team
plan holds as many as the seats you bought. Clients never use a seat, and teammates on the same network are never
limited. Settings → Team & chats shows "Seats across the internet · 3 of 5 used". - The owner gives or takes a seat in a person's Edit dialog. Everyone with a seat gets the Team plan on their own
account too: included AI with the best models and 10 GB of cloud backup. - Add seats any time. Settings → Profile → Account → Add seats. The bigger team starts today, and the days left
on your current plan carry over (converted at the price difference). A plan paid by card moves to a new card
subscription, and the old one stops by itself. Moving from Pro to Team carries your days over the same way. - Teams that were already working across the internet keep everything as before for six months.
- Calls through the relay (for networks that block direct calls) come with Pro, Team, or a team in its six months.
Included AI
- Included AI is on, running on Gemini: Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite for everyone, Gemini 3.8 Flash on Pro and Team, and
Gemini 3.1 Pro on Team, within your plan's monthly allowance. Your own key in Settings → AI still has no limit.
Accounts
- Team chat, sync, World and calls across the internet need a signed-in account with a verified email. Your own
work on this Mac, and teammates on the same network, still need none.

Accounts
- Sign in with Google or with email and password. Settings → Profile → Account. Email accounts are verified by a
link, and "Forgot password?" sends a reset email. Your own work still needs no account and stays on this Mac. - A sign-in page on new computers. A new install starts with sign-in (or "Use without an account"). If you have
a cloud backup, the next step offers to restore it. If you already use the app, you're asked once, and "Not now"
means never again. - Team chat, sync and World across the internet use your account. The hub checks who you are on every connection.
Plans
- Free, Pro and Team. Your plan shows in Settings → Profile → Account, with a clear Upgrade section: pick Pro
(monthly, or yearly with two months free) or Team (by team size), then how to pay, in cedis through Paystack:- Mobile money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo): pay once for a month or a year. Add time whenever you like; it starts
when your current time ends. The app reminds you three days before your plan ends. - Card: renews automatically. "Manage subscription" changes the card or cancels.
- Mobile money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo): pay once for a month or a year. Add time whenever you like; it starts
- Included AI (switched on later): AI that comes with your plan, with a monthly allowance and a usage bar. A
team's shared AI and your own key keep working exactly as before, and always come first.
Cloud backup
- An encrypted backup in the folder your cloud app syncs — iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.
Settings → Data & backup → Cloud backup. Choose what goes in (each part shows its size), set a password, and keep
the recovery key you're shown once. Nobody else can open the backup. - Restore on another computer, including your team and chats when you move to a new Mac.
Lock code
- A 6-digit code of your own for Money, Account & billing and Backups (Settings → Profile → Lock code), with Touch
ID on Macs that have it. It locks again after a few minutes away, when the screen locks, or with ⌘⇧L. Money
amounts elsewhere (Overview, email, notifications, Ask AI) stay hidden while Money is locked.
Settings
- Easier to find your way. Categories are grouped (App, Work, Privacy & data, More). Integrations show each
service's status with Set up or Manage, so the long forms only open when you need them. Repeated titles and
out-of-date notes are gone.
Screen assistant
- Finds the right task far more often. It reads window titles and sharper screenshots, matches brand, client and
file names however they're spelled ("OneStepFitness_promo.mp4" → "One step fitness"), remembers the suggestions
you accept, and says why it picked a task.
Permissions stay after updates (Mac)
- The app is now signed with the same certificate every time, so macOS keeps Screen Recording, microphone and other
permissions across updates. You're asked once more after installing 0.25.0, then not again.

Team World (Labs)
Still behind the switches in Settings → Labs → Team World.
- Chat without leaving World. Tap a teammate's figure and choose Message: your conversation with them opens in a
panel over the map, with their replies arriving live. It is the same conversation as on the Chat page. New messages
also show as a speech bubble over the sender's figure; click one to answer. Only your own direct messages ever bubble. - A cleaner World. Every panel, dock, card and menu now shares one look: the same spacing, headings, buttons and
close controls. Panels are only as tall as they need to be, so more of the world stays in view. The task wall is
narrower, the room's buttons sit in one row, and the AI bar no longer hides behind the game panel. Fixes along the
way: dock hints that floated over the content, a room named twice in the breadcrumbs, and a city summary that showed
inside buildings.
Fun Park: 15 new games (Games)
All with bots at three levels, so you can play alone or fill empty seats.
- Cards: Eights (crazy-eights style), Spar (Ghana rules as we understand them: 35 cards, only the last trick
counts, a 7 scores 2 and a 6 scores 3; every rule is a setting), Hearts, Spades (partners, bids and nil) and
Spoons, played in real time. - Board: Oware (Abapa rules by default) and Ludo, with dice no one at the table can choose.
- Words: Fiver (a daily five-letter puzzle, the same for the whole team), Lifeline (guess the word before the rope
bridge runs out of planks), Word search, Scramble (a tile crossword) and Word race. The dictionary is the
public-domain ENABLE list, with offensive words never used as answers. - Party: Sketch (one person draws, everyone guesses) and Blink (a reflex game).
- Games now update the moment something happens instead of every 600 ms. Cards, racks and secret words stay sealed to
their owners until the end, and every player's computer checks every move.

Team World v2, round one (Labs, off by default)
Everything below is behind new switches in Settings → Labs → Team World and every switch is off, so the World you
have today does not change until you turn something on.
- Back and history. A Back button and breadcrumbs in World, Alt+← or Backspace on the map, and "Visit in world" on
an approved access request. Deep links reach rooms, the Bank, the Fun Park and the Administrative Block. - Project rooms (Rooms). Your own project buildings open: a studio, an office floor or an HQ with an elevator,
sized by the project. Props open the task wall, timeline, team table, file cabinet, activity, progress, notes, the AI
desk and, for admins, the visitor desk. Seats light up for teammates who are in the room right now. - Civic district (Civic). Three buildings at the centre of the region: the Bank, the Fun Park and the
Administrative Block, each with a host you can talk to by mouse or keyboard. At the Administrative Block: help from
the app's own guide, problem reports, a direct line to an admin, requests, tickets, notices, and an office for admins. - Bank (Bank). The Money page's figures, in a building: spending, where it goes, subscriptions, unusual charges,
bills, budgets, your Koin wallet, "ask the manager" (answers only from your own transactions, with the transactions it
used), and your data (export, clear, withdraw, access log). - Fun Park and games (Games). Play against a bot or invite a teammate: Chess, Dame (Ghana rules, configurable) and
Summit, a trivia ladder with lifelines. Every move is checked on every player's computer; nothing about a game goes
through a server that can read it. Admins set play hours and invite limits. - Koin (Koin). A team currency earned from finished tasks, with a welcome grant, paid by the owner's app. Spend it
on small cosmetics in the Bank's wallet. Not money, never for sale.
Money, for everyone (not behind a switch)
- Money now asks before it reads money from your email and explains what it keeps. You can say Not now, use a
statement upload (CSV or PDF) instead, or withdraw and delete everything it found. - Money data is now sealed on disk with a key held by your computer's keychain. Budgets with one alert at 80 %.
Fixes
- Keyboard focus no longer drops out of World when the page refreshes behind it.
- The World HUD's breadcrumbs stop short of the toolbar at every window size.
- The Fun Park opens again after you left it with the Back button.

Work Assistant 0.22.1

Fix
- Money's "Ask AI may use money totals" is now switched off whenever your AI is the team's shared account, like the
rest of Money's AI help already was. Your money totals and merchant names only go to a local model or your own
provider. (If your team uses Team AI through OpenRouter and you had this on, nothing about your money leaves your
computer from now on.) - Money's notes now say exactly when something is sent: nothing leaves this computer unless you turn on AI help.

Team AI for everyone, with limits you set
- Connect your OpenRouter account once in Settings → Team & chats → Team AI, using a
management key (OpenRouter → Settings → Management keys → Create). It stays on your computer. - Everyone in your team automatically gets their own AI key, with a spending limit per day, week
or month and the models you allow. New members are set up when they join; people who leave or
become clients lose their key. - See your OpenRouter balance and what each person has spent today, this week, this month and
in total. Members see how much of their allowance is left.
Money from your email
- A new Money page: spending by category and merchant, money in against money out, bills to
pay, subscriptions and price changes, unusual charges, and every transaction linked to its email.
Export to CSV. - Fixed wrong numbers: paid bills no longer show as overdue, one payment is no longer counted
several times, and receipts are no longer counted as income. - Older email and PDF invoices are read too, a little at a time. Bill reminders arrive before the
due date. AI help for unclear emails is optional and off by default.
Tasks
- Attach photos, files and folder links to a task. Files on team tasks are shared only with the
people who can see the task. - When a deadline passes, the notification and the bell ask what to do: Tomorrow, Pick a
day, Edit time, Mark done, or remind you in an hour. Team tasks assigned to you remind
you too. - The deadline now has a date and an optional time. A task with only a date filled in no longer
saves without a deadline.
Team
- Owners and admins can rename the team and edit people: the name the team sees and a job title.
Job titles show in the member list, chat, calls and Team World.
Chat
- The Chat page always fits the window, at any size: only the chats list and the messages scroll.
Fixes
- Photos and voice notes sent to a chat with two or more people are no longer lost.
- Focus mode now hides the Money page as well.

team AI, connect OpenRouter in Settings → Team & chats → Team AI after updating.

Team World (preview)
- A 3D map of your team, next to Grid and List in Projects. Everyone has a city, and their
projects are its buildings. Buildings grow as tasks get done and light up while work is active. - It's off until you turn it on: Settings → Labs → Team World. The first time you open it,
you design your own character. - Visit a teammate's city, wave, send kudos, or ask about a project. Request to view or
Request to join, and the owner (or an admin, for joins) can approve or decline. Requests
show in a Requests panel and in your bell. - Ask the AI about your team, or get a weekly recap, without leaving the map.
- Prefer lists? The 2D button shows the same thing as lists that work well with a keyboard
and screen readers.
Private by design
- Teammates only see counts and how projects are doing, never your tasks, notes or files.
- Your personal projects show as "Private project", and team projects show their names to your
team. For each of your projects you can choose Visible, Private name or Hidden in
Settings → Labs → Your city. - "Away" is only shared if you turn it on. Admins can turn Team World off for the whole team.
Fixes
- A newly added email account now sorts its first messages using its own address.

Work Assistant 0.20.0

Every mode has its own colour
- Like a car's dashboard changing with the drive mode: Normal keeps your usual accent,
Focus turns calm teal and Extended turns lively ember. The whole window follows. - Switching modes fades smoothly into the new colour, with a short dashboard-style moment.
- Your own modes can pick from eight colours (Settings → Modes → Customise → Look).
Switching is cleaner
- The mode menu is short and tidy: one line per mode, nothing cut off, plus Focus session…
and Customise…. - Settings → Modes shows each mode as a colour-coded tile with a few short tags. Customise
opens a tabbed editor. - The top bar stays on one row, even in a narrow window.
Focus sessions you can see
- The Focus dialog fits on one screen. Pick 25, 50 or 90 minutes (it shows when you'll finish)
and a task from a proper list, and see at a glance what Focus mutes. - While a session runs, My Day and Tasks show a live countdown ring with your task,
+5 min and End. - When the time is up you get a "Session complete" card. The alerts that waited are one click
away.
A cleaner Files page
- Colour-coded counts at the top open their tab when clicked. The drop area lights up when
you drag files over it. - Suggestions to check are cards with a confidence ring and "Project → Category". Accepting one
folds it away with a tick. - The library shows a folder card for each project, and Recently filed is a timeline. A live
strip shows progress while files are read.
