Summary

This release introduces two significant new features:

• Helmert transformation which allows georeferencing with 2 GCPs (see blog post)
  • After a live trial period with this capability behind a permission level, we decided to set it as the default when someone adds 2 GCPs (switching to polynomial after a 3rd is added)
• Mosaic job running management system (see blog post)
  • After a live trial period with this capability behind a permission level, we now allow any one to trigger mosaics on maps that they have loaded themselves.

It also includes the preliminary addition of GCP quality measures calculated from georeferencing information. More about that here: #420

Other small changes and bugfixes:

• Cleanup/disallow duplicate prep session artifacts #308
• Expand display and sort fields in Django admin pages
• Fix bug for places that had no display name
• Better locking mechanism and message display for map interfaces (if user not logged in, after session submit, etc)
• If editing GCPs on a layer that has already been georeferenced: don't show key map by default, zoom to layer extent, not GCPs extent

Upgrade notes

You will need to run db migrations and rebuild the frontend.

After that's complete, run this command to set quality measures on all existing layers:

uv run manage.py oneoffs set-measures-on-layers
