Gridgeist v1.2.0 turns color, typography, layout, spacing, components, states, media, and motion into one coherent, product-native system contract.

What's new

  • Adds a conditional system-contract reference for semantic color, typography, layout, spacing, component grammar, interaction states, media, and motion.
  • Strengthens the workflow and review checklist so existing design-system sources are reconciled before new rules are introduced.
  • Makes broad, underspecified visual direction a hard alignment stop: Gridgeist offers options and waits before defining tokens or editing the interface.
  • Requires one explicit direction owner when overlapping broad visual skills are requested.
  • Adds paired English/Thai Scenario 19 coverage and preserves six clean behavioral runs with responsive browser evidence.
  • Keeps DESIGN.md interoperability proportional and optional rather than creating a new design document by default.

Main and tag validation, Codex plugin installation, marketplace refresh/reinstall, and universal installer installation/update passed for the tagged release.

Known limitations: fresh-agent behavior remains nondeterministic; the Windows behavioral harness was not OS-hermetic; Scenario 13 is a boundary smoke rather than a full post-repair implementation regression. This release does not claim WCAG conformance, real-user usability, field Core Web Vitals, or universal external-project behavior.
