Data and access
Docker uses two mounted folders:
| Folder | Contents |
|---|---|
data/ mounted at /app/data
|
Settings, Twitch credentials, dashboard sessions, history and claim recovery records |
logs/ mounted at /app/logs
|
Server logs (TDM.*.log) |
Desktop data is separate. Open its folders from Settings > Desktop. On Windows, app
data is in %LOCALAPPDATA%\app.twitch-drops-miner.local.
Keep these folders private. Run only one miner per data directory and stop it before backing up the entire directory. Do not share credentials, device codes or data folders.
The dashboard password is optional and off by default, including with HTTPS and PWA use. Enable it in Settings > Dashboard access if others can reach your dashboard. Without it, anyone with access to the address can control the miner.
For direct LAN access, replace the Compose port binding with your server's LAN address,
for example 192.168.1.20:8080:8080, then run docker compose up -d. Open that same
address on your phone. Ordinary LAN HTTP works for the dashboard; HTTPS
is needed for PWA installation outside localhost.
The dashboard password is separate from Twitch. Mining continues while the dashboard is locked. Sessions last up to 30 days; Remember me keeps the cookie for that period. Changing the password signs out other sessions. Disabling protection requires the current password. Dashboard logout does not sign out Twitch.
Stop the miner and restrict network access. Back up and remove only data/web_auth.json,
restart, then set a new password. Keep all other data.
Settings > Maintenance > Clear All Cache removes the viewed account's cached campaigns, channels and local claim history, then refreshes inventory. It keeps settings, Twitch credentials and completed campaign records. Cleared history stays cleared.
