MinZ demos 0.25.4 brings automatic, textless Tetris progression and typed baked-sprite effects. Clear lines to grow the colour gauge: later stages add sway and faster or variable descent. Sprite addresses are prepared before HALT; paired draw/erase kernels write directly to the Spectrum screen.
Download the native ZIP for Linux, macOS or Windows, amd64 or arm64. Extract the whole package and open mzx / MinZ Demos.app / mzx.exe. Up/Down selects a demo, Enter plays, Escape returns. Tetris: O/P move, Q rotate, A soft drop, Space hard drop, H hold.
Six native platforms were exercised, including package/source associations, independent screenshot oracles and SAVE integrity. Packaged sources reproduce the selected Tetris and TV images. Frozen source: d2d8f7b, tag v0.25.4.
The longer media captures actual consecutive 50-Hz frames: Tetris is 260 frames / 5.2 seconds through game over, starting from a declared 32-line fixture; TV is 256 frames / 5.12 seconds with a continuous loop. There is no interpolation. Tested quiet movement fits one IRQ; heavy actions and line clears may take two or three frames.
Validation: all 800 pipeline roots accounted for, 707 PASS and 93 SKIP, no failures. Folded differential fuzz: 10,000 PASS on each backend. Direct-call fuzz remains a separate findings report: 7,119 PASS, 370 Z80/MIR2 mismatches and 2,511 compiler/runtime errors, unchanged per seed from 0.25.3. These figures do not claim that all compiler inputs work.
The corrected default-source assertion matrix retains all 4,809 assertions per compiler in 1,669 groups per backend. Z80 has 1,544 passing groups and 125 identical existing failures; MIR2 has 1,595 and 74. No new regressions or missing receipts; all 6,708 negative controls detect an error. The audit finished in 336 seconds. Existing source-assertion and assembly errors remain visible.
The release tag passed all 18 required release jobs. The same-line assertion harness fix is tracked separately in PR #159; it does not change the frozen compiler or demo sources.
The images ZIP needs a compatible emulator. Zork I uses Spectrum 128K; Zork II uses the Scorpion memory profile with extra bank data. Scorpion support covers memory layout, not all peripherals. Existing SAVE data lives outside the package: preserve it when upgrading. The native ZIP includes scene/library sources and builder scripts; rebuilding sources needs compatible mz and mza.
SHA256SUMS covers the downloadable files. The previously published 0.25.3 remains available unchanged.
