OnlyAudio Remote 2.3.1 (Android)

Fixes the media notification and the lock-screen controls, which never appeared.

What's fixed

  • The notification and the lock-screen card now show the current track with its cover art, and the previous / play-pause / next buttons control the desktop player.
  • Android 13 and later: the app asks for the notification permission at launch (without it the notification stays hidden).
  • The notification is no longer rebuilt on every poll, only when the track, play state or position changes.
  • When the desktop player stops answering, the notification shows the player as loading instead of working.

The cause was audio_service failing at startup (MainActivity extended the wrong activity class), hidden by a catch-all in main.dart.

Install

Download OnlyAudio-Remote-v2.3.1.apk and open it on the phone (allow installs from this source if asked). It installs over version 2.3.0. The phone and the PC must be on the same Wi-Fi.

Tested on a Xiaomi Mi 9T (Android 11) and a Xiaomi Pad 6 (Android 14). The desktop player is not part of this release.
