• English interface. The app follows the system language; Settings → Language switches between English and Russian. New accounts get welcome tasks and built-in templates in the chosen language. The Android widget, notifications and the Windows tray menu are translated too.
• Task card: the time field is no longer cut off in the 12-hour format.
• Server install in one command: settings in .env, --profile https starts a bundled Caddy that gets the certificate itself. The latest image is the latest release, edge follows the main branch.

Dela 0.4.2

Fixes found while testing on a phone:

• Android: the home screen widget stayed empty or showed "Loading..." forever. The app could not pass tasks to it, and the row layout used a view type widgets do not allow.
• Android: a reminder could be cancelled by the app at the moment it was due, so it never showed. The app no longer opens the system "Alarms & reminders" screen on its own; Settings has a button for exact reminder times instead.
• Android: reminders and the widget are cleared on sign out.
• Android: widget settings follow the dark theme and return to the home screen after "Done".
• Pop-up messages can be swiped away or closed with ×; they stay 2.5 s, or 4 s when they have a button.
• A screenshot can be pasted into a comment with Ctrl+V or dropped onto it.
• Phone: dragging a task makes it a subtask only after holding it over the middle of another task.
• Phone: the tab bar and the + button hide while the on-screen keyboard is open.
• The device list names the apps "Dela app" instead of the browser engine.
• Key rotation started by hand and by a member leaving no longer race each other; deleting the account no longer races with sign out.

Dela 0.4.1

Security fixes after a full audit of the code. Update the server first, then the apps.

• Project keys in shared projects are confirmed by the owner; members pin the owner's key and owners pin members' keys, so a server cannot hand out its own project key.
• Fixed: a member could make the owner's app delete another member through a crafted file id in a comment.
• Adding a passkey and turning on two-factor login need the password; account recovery removes passkeys; a password change disconnects other devices.
• Key rotation keeps edits that arrive during it, works for projects of any size and is retried when a member leaves on their own.
• Android: the widget's command receiver is private, app backup is off, reminders hide the task title on the lock screen.
• Images in comments now show in the Windows app.

Dela 0.4.0

Sign in with a passkey, history of actions, project templates, reminders on Android without Google services, and a mode without a server.

What is new

• Passkeys. Sign in with Windows Hello, a fingerprint, Google Password Manager, iCloud Keychain or a FIDO2 key in the browser. The PRF extension opens the account key on the device, so end-to-end encryption stays without a password. Server setting: DELA_PUBLIC_URL.
• History of actions by day: created, completed and deleted tasks and comments, with the author in shared projects.
• Project templates: save a project as a template, three ready ones, import and export as a file.
• Android reminders through UnifiedPush (ntfy and other distributors), no Google services in the app any more.

Dela 0.3.0

A home screen widget, voice input, comments with files, a new key for shared projects after removing a member, and automatic updates for the Windows app.

What is new

• Android widget with a task list, like in Todoist: Today, Week or any project; light, dark or system theme, background opacity, font size, compact rows. Tap the circle to complete a task, tap a row to open it, the plus and mic buttons add a task. A quick settings tile adds a task from the notification shade.
• Voice input on Android: the system recognizer (it prefers offline recognition, the app needs no microphone permission), the phrase goes through the usual quick add parser.
• Comments with files on any task, assignees in shared projects. Files are encrypted on the device with their own key; the server keeps only ciphertext.
• New key for a shared project when the owner removes a member: everything is encrypted again and the removed member cannot read later changes.
• Drag with a finger: hold a task to move it to another place, into another task or onto another day.
• The Windows app updates itself from GitHub releases. Updates are signed. Version 0.2.0 has no updater yet, so install 0.3.0 once by hand.

Dela 0.2.0

A calendar, an app lock, account deletion and a new design.

What is new

• Calendar with day, week and month views. Drag a task to another day or into the hour grid, drag its bottom edge to change the duration, click an empty hour to add a task there. Shortcut: G, then C.
• App lock with a PIN of 4-8 digits at start and after the app was in the background. Pauses grow after wrong PINs, ten wrong PINs in a row erase the data on the device. On Android it also unlocks with a fingerprint.
• Account deletion in Settings, and deleting tasks forever from the trash: the old encrypted text leaves the server too.
• New design: warm paper palette, Manrope font, tasks on cards, Today with a progress ring, drawings on empty screens.
• Phone: bottom tab bar, larger rows, swipe a task right to complete it and left to reschedule it, the task opens as a bottom sheet, short vibration on gestures.

Fixes the "Key saved in a safe place" checkbox on the recovery key screen and two checkboxes in Settings: the label was squeezed into a narrow column. Dela is an open-source task manager with end-to-end encryption that you run on your own server.
