Fixed

  • Idle cameras no longer keep decoding and converting every frame. When a printer is
positively idle and nobody is viewing its feed, PrintGuard puts the camera in standby and
resumes it automatically when printing or viewing starts. RTSP, RTMP and WHEP feeds are pulled
on demand, while MJPEG, Bambu and device cameras keep their existing browser-compatible H.264
bridge without running it unnecessarily. Unknown or unreachable printers remain monitored.
  • Desktop webcams now preview immediately after registration. The camera stays live while its
preview connects, then still enters standby after viewing or monitoring stops. Slow desktop
camera startup no longer leaves orphaned captures running after the window closes.
  • Camera and monitor status lights no longer flicker between healthy colours. Camera indicators
now show stable availability, while monitor indicators stay green when watching and switch red
only for a genuine defect alert.
  • RTSP cameras recover after a damaged stream. If packet loss or decoder errors leave a camera
offline, PrintGuard now replaces the failed reader and its MediaMTX pull automatically instead
of retrying the same broken session until the camera is toggled manually.
  • Alert-only notifications now state that no printer action is configured. This makes clear that
detection and push alerts are still active when a printer is powered off or unreachable.
  • Printer actions and notifications no longer pause camera inference. Slow or unreachable
services are handled independently while monitoring continues, and genuinely stalled camera
sources are replaced automatically after a fresh-frame timeout.
