Corrected-protocol collection release: client/0.3.0, benchmark protocol 7.1, and the ffmpeg-process-v1 encode timer. Use these clients for new contributions to https://encodingdb.platinumlabs.dev. Older protocol-7.0 clients cannot contribute to this release.

The client uploads retained encoded artifacts for authoritative server analysis, with bounded campaigns, checkpoint recovery, independent upload resume, and admission backpressure. PL remains unavailable until empirical calibration and review are complete. Accepted, suspect, and incomplete evidence retain their actual status; quality investigations C5/C6 remain open.

  • Linux x86-64: encodingdb-client-linux (built and accepted on Ubuntu 24.04)
  • macOS Apple Silicon: encodingdb-client-macos — complete runtime requires macOS 27 or later; ARM64 only, ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized. Intel and older macOS are unverified.

Windows binaries are not Authenticode signed. Physical Windows x264/NVENC and macOS software/VideoToolbox paths have acceptance evidence; this does not establish support for every encoder or device. QSV and AMF remain unverified.

Verify the downloaded binary against the attached SHA256SUMS. The client obtains the frozen seven-clip test suite from its existing public, hash-pinned distribution. Validation scope is 1920×1080, 24 fps, SDR BT.709; 4K/HDR/HFR and calibrated PL are outside this release's validated scope.

Release source: merged candidate 05a8cd189363efd220ab47d091dea15b822f7037, reviewed head f75c1974e0e59886e7329bd96938ca66aa96b51a. Accepted binaries retain their original a350d45 client content; they were not rebuilt for publication. CI, release preflight, dependency audits, cross-host package replay, Windows GUI acceptance, and restored-production migration rehearsal passed. The isolated serving trial's p95 985.57 ms at 25 readers has a narrow margin and does not establish unlimited ingest capacity. Initial collection operates within bounded admission and the measured two-analyzer envelope.
