macOS 27 support

On macOS 27, Find My's redesigned sidebar broke the list commands: findmy devices read 2 rows, and findmy people / findmy items silently returned the Devices list. This release reads the new sidebar end to end (#36, fixes #35, #24).

  • Tabs switch again. The View menu is addressed through its menu bar item, and a failed switch is now an error instead of a silent wrong answer.
  • Every row, not just the ones in the window. people, devices and items now scroll the sidebar page by page and merge the rows. On a Family Sharing account that took devices from 2 rows to all 36.
  • Sturdier row parsing. Rows are grouped by spacing instead of alternating name/location lines, so shared items' "Shared with …" line, a half-visible row, or an OCR miss no longer shifts every row after it. Distances are read by column, and the new "Nearby" label and "Me" tab are recognized in all 41 languages.
  • watch reads macOS 27 rows (it had a stricter cutoff that dropped all of them).

Note

The pointer moves while lists are read. Scrolling the sidebar posts trackpad-style events, so while people, devices or items runs, your pointer moves over the Find My sidebar and the window scrolls, then returns to the top. It needs Accessibility permission. Without it, the commands read one window's worth of rows and print a note to stderr. watch stays single-page so it doesn't move your pointer on every poll.

Also in this release

  • findmy ring and findmy phone, plus device aliases (findmy alias) (#26).
  • Window detection works when Spotlight has no metadata for Find My (#27, fixes #28). Thanks @keithah for finding and fixing this one.
  • --zoom no longer reports map labels as a precise address (#23).
  • The npm package declares openclaw as an optional peer instead of a runtime dependency, so installing it no longer pulls in OpenClaw (#21).
  • CI now builds and tests the Go CLI and Swift helper on every pull request (#34).
  • Dependency and GitHub Actions updates.
