🔧 APM Framework v4.0.3 - Critical Installer TTY Fix

Critical Hotfix: Fixed installer hanging at Step 2 (Project Configuration) when installed via curl | bash.

🚨 What Was Fixed

The Problem: When running the interactive installer via curl | bash (without --defaults), the installer would hang at Step 2 waiting for project name input.

The Root Cause:

  • Universal installer redirects stdin from /dev/tty for piped installations
  • Main installer's safe_read() function was trying to access /dev/tty directly again
  • This created a conflict causing the installer to hang when requesting user input

The Solution: Enhanced TTY detection logic to check if stdin is already redirected before accessing /dev/tty.

🔧 Fixed

  • CRITICAL: Fixed installer hanging at Step 2 when piped through curl
  • Fixed TTY detection logic causing conflicts between universal installer and main installer
  • Installer now properly handles stdin redirection from /dev/tty
  • Fixed safe_read() function to use stdin when already redirected by universal installer

🚀 Improved

  • Enhanced TTY detection to prevent hanging when piped through curl
  • Better handling of interactive vs non-interactive installation modes
  • Improved installer reliability in various shell environments
