OMD 0.3.0 beta 3
OMD 0.3.0 beta 3
This public beta packages the reviewed server changes since beta 2, including the multiline evidence fix used by OMD Home 0.1.1.
Changes
- Add proposal-only
omd enrich-noteand schema-v1 capability discovery for clients. Proposal generation does not modify the vault; the client owns explicit review and Apply. - Fix issue #6: wrapped Markdown candidate evidence now reaches enrichment review. Raw request-size and control-character checks remain enforced. Optional validation categories let clients display safe recovery guidance.
- Improve Inbox review, explicit create/keep decisions, selected-source AI drafting, and repeated-action protection.
- Support optional direct OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek Inbox drafting with a per-task preview and consent, bounded requests, and Keychain or session-only credentials. Capture and conversion do not require AI.
- Improve local retrieval, progress diagnostics, Markdown whitespace preservation, and browser-verification detection.
- Harden vault path/symlink handling and remote enrichment authorization.
Install or upgrade
The Homebrew tap is updated. To upgrade:
brew update
brew upgrade omd-local/omd/omd
brew list --versions omdFor a first installation, use brew install omd-local/omd/omd.
The Homebrew formula installs the source archive attached to this release and checks its SHA-256. Python 3.10 or newer is required; the formula uses Python 3.12. OMD Home is installed and updated separately in Obsidian.
Verification and limits
The release candidate passed 1,411 local tests, source-archive and wheel builds, archive metadata/source checks, and isolated wheel entrypoint smoke tests. All required CI passed: Python 3.10–3.13, wheel installation, and dependency audits. A real Homebrew source upgrade from 0.3.0b2 to 0.3.0b3 passed. brew test verified UI initialization, MCP, HTML conversion, and PDF text extraction; brew audit --strict, installed capabilities, and pip check also passed. Auditing the installed third-party Python dependencies found no known vulnerabilities; OMD itself is not indexed on PyPI and was covered by source review and tests.
This remains a beta. Live hosted-provider requests and the complete desktop/manual acceptance matrix were not repeated for this release. Model-generated content still requires review; websites may require authentication or block automated access.
