OBS ROI Editor 1.2.0 (OBS 32.2+ compatibility)
Rebuild of the ROI Editor plugin for OBS 32.2 and newer.
OBS 32.2 updated its bundled FFmpeg to 8.x, which renamed the avcodec/avutil DLLs and broke version 1.1.1 (it fails with LoadLibrary failed ... The specified module could not be found, see derrod#24). This release is built against the matching dependencies and loads normally.
Changes
- Built against obs-studio 32.2.1 and obs-deps 2026-07-15 (FFmpeg 8.1.2, Qt 6.11.1)
- Fixed dangling Qt signal connections when the preview widget is recreated (likely cause of the crash reports on recent OBS versions)
- Warning/error labels now use the class-based theming that OBS 31+ themes require
- ROI now applies to up to 10 encoder tracks of multi-track outputs (limit was raised from 6 in OBS 32)
Requirements
- OBS Studio 32.2 or newer, Windows x64. For older OBS versions use 1.1.1 from upstream.
Install
Close OBS, then extract the zip into your OBS install folder (usually C:\Program Files\obs-studio), overwriting the old files if present. The plugin appears under Tools > ROI Editor and Tools > Encoder Output Preview.
