Highlights
- Omnideck CLI is now the shared Podman environment backend for both the interactive CLI and Omnideck Desktop.
- Bare
omnidecklaunches now detect first-time setup or repair automatically, with restart/resume guidance on Windows and macOS and a sharedomnideck-runtimemachine. - Added versioned JSON/NDJSON output for headless Desktop integration, including non-interactive
add, update, andremoveflows and structured errors. - Added recovery for stale Podman container-name reservations left by an interrupted removal.
- Added release artifact contracts, checksums, SBOMs, and GitHub artifact attestations for every supported archive.
Upgrading
v0.10.0 uses Podman as its only supported container runtime; Docker-specific setup paths have been removed. Existing Omnideck environments are reconciled to the current container layout while persistent volumes are retained.
The upgrade tests covered configuration migration, image update, multi-instance isolation, volume persistence, backup/delete, restore, and post-upgrade repair on Windows and Ubuntu.
Known limitation
On Windows, deliberately stopping the saved Podman WSL machine can leave automatic recovery unable to repair user-mode networking. Normal clean installation, application use, and the tested upgrade path succeeded. This non-blocking edge case is tracked in #46.
