omnideck v0.1.0-beta.9
Pre-releaseomnideck application v0.1.0-beta.9
This beta separates the graphical desktop host from the standalone CLI command
and improves browser cleanup for scheduled routines. It is an in-place upgrade;
you do not need to uninstall beta.8 first.
Desktop command split and upgrade path
The graphical host executable is now named omnideck-desktop, leaving the
omnideck command available for the standalone CLI. The installed product,
application name, package IDs, launchers, and shortcuts remain omnideck, so
the normal ways of opening the app do not change.
Installing beta.9 over beta.8 replaces the legacy graphical executable and
preserves the existing application state. Use the platform's normal upgrade
path: install the new DEB, RPM, or Windows installer over the old package;
replace the existing app in Applications on macOS; or replace the AppImage at
the same stable path on Linux.
Routine stability
Scheduled routines now release browser resources after each task and shut down
stalled tasks cleanly. This prevents orphaned browser processes from gradually
consuming excessive CPU and memory.
Known limitations
Preview packages do not yet carry paid publisher identities. Windows may show
a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning, and macOS may require explicit
approval in Privacy & Security.
