The sandbox now sets itself up: on macOS the app starts its own small Linux VM (no Docker or other app needed), on Windows a Set up button installs WSL 2 with one admin prompt and resumes after the restart, and on Linux an Allow button does the one-time permission step. Progress and clear next steps show in the chat.
Servers you start in the sandbox open on this computer at the same localhost port.
Improved
Opening a project starts its sandbox right away, and the image downloads in the background, so the first message waits less.
In the sandbox, node_modules, Python environments and build folders are the sandbox's own Linux copies on macOS and Windows, so your Mac or Windows builds are never overwritten.
The agent carries multi-step tasks through to the end instead of stopping to ask whether to continue.
Fixed
Sandbox: a box with a fuse overlay no longer hangs on package installs, and starting a box never writes outside it.
