This release introduces a significant enhancement, providing greater flexibility in how your Gravity Forms submissions are tracked and tagged in CleverTap addressing the enhancement request - (#3 )

New Features

  • Customizable CleverTap Event Names per Form: You can now define a unique event name for each Gravity Form directly within its settings. This replaces the previously hardcoded "Newsletter Signup" event, enabling more precise event tracking tailored to your specific forms (e.g., "Contact Form Submission", "Product Inquiry", "Webinar Registration").

Improvements

  • Enhanced Form Settings UI: The Gravity Forms settings page for CleverTap Integration now includes a dedicated input field for setting the custom event name, alongside the existing tag field.
  • Database Schema Update: The plugin's database table (wp_ctgf_form_configs) has been updated to include a new event_name column, ensuring that your custom event names are persistently stored.
  • Backward Compatibility: For existing forms, the event name will automatically default to "Newsletter Signup", ensuring a smooth transition without requiring immediate re-configuration.
  • Improved Logging: Debug logs now provide more detailed information, including the specific event name being sent to CleverTap for each submission.
  • Updated Documentation: The readme.md and readme.txt files have been updated to reflect these new capabilities and provide clear setup instructions.

  1. Navigate to the settings of your desired Gravity Form.
  2. Go to the "CleverTap Integration" section.
