Ondalis Companion is the PC helper of the Ondalis apps. With Ondalis PC Remote (Android), it lets the phone app list your PC's programmes and open them, on the same Wi-Fi, with nothing to type on the PC. Everything stays local: no account, no cloud, no telemetry. The phone pairs once with a code shown on the PC, and the connection is TLS, pinned to the PC's own certificate.

What's new in 1.0.1

  • The companion is called Ondalis Companion wherever it names itself (its menu, its windows, the list of applications).
  • It wears the Ondalis logo: in the notification area, the Start menu, the list of installed apps and the Linux applications. After an update from 1.0.0 on Windows, the Start menu and the taskbar may keep the old icon until you sign out and back in.
  • Linux: a programme opened from the phone opens at once, Flatpak apps included (1.0.0 could wait 5 seconds, then report a failure), and it stays open when the companion stops.

Installing 1.0.1 over 1.0.0 keeps the pairing.

  • Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit): ondalis-companion-setup.exe. It installs for your user, with no administrator rights.
  • Linux (x86-64, GTK desktops, system Python 3.10 to 3.14): ondalis-companion-linux.tar.gz.
  • SHA256SUMS: the checksums of both files.

The Windows installer is not code-signed yet. SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC": choose More info, then Run anyway. The README has the install steps.
