2.2.0-dev.5 — ATF diagnostics and pagination
Improves ATF failure diagnosis and large-suite reporting:
- Failure excerpts retain the beginning and end of logs and include step/result IDs and readable step labels.
sn_atf_resultsactionstepretrieves complete summary/output text in chunks.- Returns 200 test summaries by default with explicit test/failure pagination.
- Replaces inferred flakiness with factual status changes; the deprecated
flakyfield stays empty. - Includes the container validation and patched base-image fixes already verified on dev.
Live Global-scope validation recovered a complete 4,945-character noisy assertion log and a readable step name. No ServiceNow ACLs were changed.
Install with npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@dev, then restart the MCP client to refresh its tool schema.
The reported pdi table-read denial is not explained by the supplied wildcard policy and remains under investigation pending the exact failed call/error. This release does not claim to fix that unidentified cause.
2.2.0-dev.4 — ATF validation fixes
Fixes ATF suite membership validation, duplicate-ID errors, suite-name listing with reference objects, and readiness checks for missing references and empty active tests.
Validated with 1,616 unit tests, 250 protocol checks, 72 profile checks, 14 release checks, and live Global-scope regressions on the fd demo instance. Temporary fixtures were removed.
Install: npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@dev
Cloud execution remains browser-free locally. Positive UI workflow validation is still blocked by the demo instance's proActiveTrigger page error. The optional container validation job retains its existing exit-code-13 failure; required npm release checks passed.
v2.2.0-dev.3 — Cloud-only ATF
ATF suite execution now uses ServiceNow Cloud Runner only. No local browser tab is required, and cloud failures never fall back to a manual runner.
- Every run sends
run_in_cloud=true;falseis rejected. - Readiness checks Cloud Runner installation instead of local browser heartbeats.
- Fixed the authoring readiness mapping grant and REST JSON path guidance.
- Added tests for cloud-only execution and ATF input variations.
Demo-instance validation needed
Successful cloud UI execution has not yet been verified. The PDI accepted a cloud submission, but its cloud-user setup check could not reach ServiceNow cloud infrastructure. Validate on a demo instance with ATF Test Generator and Cloud Runner configured. This is a development prerelease, not a stable release.
Temporary PDI fixtures and results were removed. Protected platform rollback history remains because ServiceNow denied deletion; no ACLs were changed.
Install
npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@devOr pin this build:
npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@2.2.0-dev.3Restart your MCP client after updating. The stable latest channel remains unchanged.
2.2.0-dev.2 — ATF native authoring and execution
ATF step inputs now save through the authenticated native form, including output references, without ACL changes or an installed scoped application. This release also includes readiness checks, CI/CD suite execution, results, history and comparisons.
- 13 typed step types with metadata and stored-value verification.
- Nonempty REST headers/query parameters and same-test output mapping.
- Global scope and active-plugin detection fixes.
- Bounded rollback with explicit cleanup of mapping records.
- Updated authoring grant preset and packaged workflow documentation.
Validation: 1,556 tests pass, release checks pass, production dependency audit is clean, and a fresh package installation completes the MCP handshake with 23 tools. Global PDI validation covered all 13 types for authoring, server-side assertions, record-output chaining, REST unauthorized-response assertions, success/failure results, history and comparisons. Temporary records were removed.
Browser-driven execution and authenticated ATF REST requests still require separate validation with a browser runner and ATF request credentials. Native form compatibility must be verified against each supported ServiceNow version. This is a development prerelease.
Published package installation and MCP startup were verified from npm. Install:
npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@devStable latest remains on 2.1.0.
The optional container validation job failed; this release is verified for npm/stdio use.
2.2.0-dev.1 — ATF authoring preview
Development build for PDI testing of ATF authoring.
Install:
npm install -g @onlyflows/servicenow-mcp@devChanges:
- Add
sn_atf_authorfor tests, suites, and ordered memberships, with rollback reporting. - Add per-profile ATF configuration, readable tool output, and a persistent result-cache library.
- Add
setup grant --atfand tag-driven dev releases.
Readiness, CI/CD suite execution, history/compare, and step authoring are still under development. Current tools do not populate the result cache yet. No live PDI validation has been performed.
Validation: 1,510 unit tests plus protocol, profile, and release gates; typecheck, lint, build, and production audit passed locally. The Publish workflow validates and publishes this version to the npm dev channel, leaving latest unchanged.
