Changed: the integration now uses the OpenNVR eye icon from opennvr.org as its brand icon in Home Assistant (#1).

No functional changes. Update through HACS and restart Home Assistant to see the new icon.

The first release of the native OpenNVR integration for Home Assistant.

What you get: every camera as a Home Assistant camera with live video (WebRTC) and snapshots; a device per camera, zone and app with motion, detection and recording switches, counts, plates and the site mode as an alarm panel; a media browser for recordings and clips; services for PTZ, events and exports; alerts as events with the picture, with a notification blueprint; and an Assist tool that answers "what's on the driveway camera".

Install

  1. HACS → Integrations → ⋮ → Custom repositories → add https://github.com/open-nvr/hass-opennvr, category Integration.
  2. Install OpenNVR, restart Home Assistant.
  3. Settings → Devices & services → Add integration → OpenNVR. Enter https://<your-opennvr> and an API token (OpenNVR → Settings → API Tokens; the Home Assistant preset is the right start).

Needs Home Assistant 2026.9 or later and OpenNVR 0.1.6 or later. Use this or OpenNVR's MQTT discovery, not both; the integration raises a repair if it finds both.
