openOMSI 0.1.965
Early release, expect bugs. openOMSI needs an original OMSI 2 installation to run; it contains no game content.
Passengers
- A stop is no longer a destination of itself or of a stop of the same name, so riders on
circular lines no longer board and get straight off again. #795 - Riders know their stop by its timetable name as well as by its map label, so they get off
at intermediate stops where the two names differ, not only at the terminus. #773 #748 #736
Traffic and maps
- Cars drive into the end of a road at speed and are taken off there, as in OMSI, instead of
stopping before it one by one; released AI buses no longer queue at the map's end. #765 #598 - The player's bus holds up only traffic on its own level, not cars on a bridge above it. #753
- A depot file's stop list belongs to the trip written before it, as Omsi.exe reads it; a trip
without a list no longer gives every later route another trip's stops in the IBIS. #667 - On a Chinese, Japanese or Korean Windows, Russian HOF and map text keeps its stop names. #785
- A continued situation resumes at the trip of the tour it was saved on, with the rest of the
tour, and is saved again with that trip. #653
Vehicles and input
- Door hit sounds with a
doorSpeedvolume curve are heard: a triggered sound reads its
volume curves as they stand when the trigger fires (player's and AI buses). #676 - A switch let go with the right button held stays where it is. #769
- On foot, the switches of an articulated bus's rear section are in reach by that section. #715
- A key bound in both [game] and [vehicles] works the vehicle too. #745
- The brake stays on when the mouse steering is switched off. #517 #760
- The built-in view keys step aside for keys the player bound themselves. #701
- The city map (Shift+M) and the navigator (Shift+N) open on foot. #705
- The ticket desk camera keeps where it was turned (Home recentres only when unbound). #733
- Head tracking stays on when its UDP port is taken by opentrack. #775
Launcher
- Dropdown lists scroll by dragging their bar, and sliding an open list no longer scrolls the
page behind it. #794 #774 - Typing into an open dropdown filters it (entry points, buses, fleet numbers). #747
- The game's and the launcher's windows fit the screen and open in its middle. #771
Graphics
- No rain inside the rear section of articulated buses. #777
- Clouds no longer vanish when a sky texture cannot be read; 24-bit bitfield BMPs load. #749
- The VR headset shows the Enhanced graphics. #784
- Fleet numbers and plates no longer glow in the dark; only text with a light or night map
does. #698 - The loading screen remakes a Vulkan swapchain that no longer fits instead of freezing. #776
