gpt-5-3-codex model not available anymore in list

What issue are you seeing?

The GPT-5-3-codex disappeared from the model list in the app, including the new sparx. It is now showing "custom" but the 5.3 codex is not listed. It was showing yesterday and been keeping my app up-to-date so this issue just came with this version.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open App, model is not listed.

What is the expected behavior?

Those models are listed as well.

@ehendrix23, did the selection return for you? If not, try deleting your ~/.codex/modesl_cache.json file and then restart the app.

It had not returned however deleting ~/.codex/models_cache.json and restarting app worked.

deleted and restarted and it's still missing for me.

@melloc01, can you confirm that you're signed in with your ChatGPT subscription (as opposed to API key)? If so, please delete your models_cache.json again, then restart the app and issue a simple prompt, then use /feedback to upload your logs and post your thread ID here. I can then take a look at your logs and see if I can identify the problem.

Hello, I am logged with my ChatGPT account, I don't have any API keys.
The cache file isn't there now, even after I restarted the app, weird.
I think this might have happened when I installed the CLI earlier today, not sure.

I removed my entire ~/.codex folder and it made me re-auth and I got it back

I'm assumning it had to do with the install of the codex CLI. I uninstalled it as well.

Same issue for me today; was showing yesterday, stopped today. Logout/login resolved it

GPT 5.3 is losing badly to Opus 4.6, so they are probably restructuring the model.
