Stuck in reconnecting loop. Finally times out 5/5 with message: "stream disconnected before completion: error sending request for url (https://chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/responses)

I have seen this issue being brought up, but it keeps getting closed saying the issue has been fixed. Otherwise I would give a thumbs up, but it keeps getting closed. This issue making codex unusable.

There are many reasons that this error can occur, which explains why you will see many different reports.

The most common cause is a configuration error (e.g. forgetting that you defined an OPENAI_BASE_URL env variable). The second most common cause is a network connectivity issue due to a VPN, proxy, etc.

If you see this again, please use the /feedback slash command to upload your logs and session details, then post the thread ID here.
