VS Code: Slow switching between task history

What issue are you seeing?

When switching between tasks in the task history menu, there is a 5+ second delay until it switches tasks. This happens for every task. Oddly if I hit the back button then go to a previous task it switches instantly.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

This happens for me for every task so not sure how to reproduce. It may be related to having a long chat and maybe it's lagging while re-rendering.

What is the expected behavior?

Expecting switching tasks to be near instant.
