Multi-project Automation #18588

Description

What variant of Codex are you using?

App

What feature would you like to see?

I have an administrative use case where I need conversations audited across all Codex projects & reporting back to a central location. Projects are siloed as far as I know, so an automation run from a given project has no visibility into other projects' conversations.

The solution today is to run the same automation from each project & report to a centralized location where each of these individual reports can be picked up & consolidated. At the risk of pointing the obvious, this is brittle and labor-intensive (if the automation changes, need to go into every projects and update every single automation, need to remember to create the automation whenever a project is created etc...)

Short of having automations that have access to other projects, a great solution would be to the ability to deploy a single animation to every projects (including new projects, created after the automation).
A degraded flavor of the same idea could involve user-authored automation templates (would make the still-labor-intensive & brittle process much faster)

Additional information

There are a number of high-value reports that could be run via a centralized automation. For us the value is to detect & log research & experimentation activities for reporting the required evidence to the IRS at the end of the year (IRC section 41, research credits)
