Remaining limits and credits suddenly drop to zero

What issue are you seeing?

My Codex dashboard shows contradictory-looking quota state:

• 5 hour usage limit: 100% remaining
• Weekly usage limit: 0% remaining, resets Apr 28, 2026 7:21 PM

Yesterday my weekly usage was not at zero (at about 50%, I had loads left so I wasn't paying attention throughout the day). It appeared to drop suddenly to zero despite only medium usage in between.

Separately, I previously had unused Codex credits. Those credits now appear to be gone, but the Codex usage dashboard does not show usage that explains where they went.

Experiencing the same issue. I have 6 separate Chrome profiles each logged into different accounts, and every single one of them shows 0 tokens used across all time windows — 24hr, weekly, monthly, and 90-day — simultaneously. This rules out a usage drain on any single account; something is clearly broken at the tracking/display layer.

The quota is not resetting either. All windows remain stuck at 0 available with no usage history to explain how they got there. The tool is completely unusable across all accounts.

Setup:

• 6 Chrome profiles, separate accounts each
• All show 0 tokens used across all time windows (24hr / week / month / 90-day)
• Codex surface: VS Code extension + Windsurf (Antigravity)
• All accounts blocked with "quota reached" despite showing zero historical usage

This appears to be a backend tracking/display bug, not a legitimate usage exhaustion — identical zero-state across all accounts at the same time cannot be explained by actual usage.

Is there any update on a fix or a workaround? Is OpenAI support the right escalation path for this?

two things broke at the exact same timestamp (25/4 ~9:00) — weekly limit jumped from ~50% to 0%, and your separate unused credits vanished — with no dashboard usage that accounts for either. simultaneous + unexplained-by-usage almost always means an account/workspace state change, not real consumption.
