My 5-hour usage limit was consumed extremely quickly: it went from 0% to 100% in about 20 minutes, even though I was only running a light workload.

It feels like I were on a Plus subscription, rather than the $200/month Pro plan.

Another key issue is that the automatic context compaction is currently seriously unstable. The compression step often takes a very long time, and if it fails, the whole session/task context can become unusable, forcing me to start a new session and rerun or re-explain the task from scratch. That also wastes a large amount of tokens/usage.

I’m on the $200 Pro plan, and even with that, the allowance feels extremely fragile. In my case, I have nearly exhausted all of my usage in about two days. The usage drain is not only from the actual coding work, but also from failed or slow compactions and having to restart sessions after context loss.

im on plus so i expect low usage, but im getting more out of my 20 dollar claude plan.
