What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

App does not open so cannot determine the version(latest from microsoft store)

What subscription do you have?

Plus

What platform is your computer?

Windows 11 25H2 (Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64)

What issue are you seeing?

Codex app when pulled in the front shows splash screen and the app UI is not accessible making it impossible to use the app.

Looking at above image, if we put the app in background i can see the app.

But as soon as i pull the app in foreground, the app UI changes to codex logo. See below image

What steps can reproduce the bug?

No special steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Install Codex for Desktop app from Microsoft Store
  2. Open the app.
  3. Sign in using ChatGPT / OpenAI credentials.
  4. Upon successful sign in, this behavior is observed.

Tested this with two OS

  1. Windows 10 (22H2) - Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.19045.0 x64
  2. Windows 11 (25H2) (Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64)

What is the expected behavior?

Expected Behavior : App should open properly and user shall be able to use the UI.
